The 2025 All Good Now festival, held on June 14–15 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, was a triumphant, modernized revival of the legendary All Good Music Festival. Ten years after the original event went on hiatus, this “reimagined” version traded the mountaintop mud for the sleek amenities of one of the country’s best amphitheaters, successfully bridging the gap between old-school “Heads” and the new generation of jam fans.
The festival leaned heavily into its roots while passing the torch to modern titans. The “No Overlapping Sets” format—a classic All Good staple—was preserved by utilizing both the Pavilion Stage and the stunning Chrysalis Stage in the woods.
The Standouts
Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD): Widely considered the “win” of the weekend. Their Saturday night headline set was high-octane and surprisingly political, featuring debut covers of CCR’s “Fortunate Son” and The Rolling Stones’ “Street Fighting Man”.
The String Cheese Incident: Delivered a masterful Saturday set that reminded everyone why they are the kings of the genre, featuring deep jams that outclassed many of the younger acts.
Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country: The undisputed breakout of the weekend. Their high-energy Sunday afternoon set at the Chrysalis was a “mind-bending” blend of honky-tonk and disco-funk.
Goose: Closing out Sunday, Goose proved their headliner status with a two-set marathon that featured a massive cover of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill”.
- Other artists playing over the weekend include: Dogs in a Pile, The Bridge, Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel, Neal Francis, Moe., Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Molly Tuttle, Lawrence, The Disco Biscuits, and Eggy.
